Well i also had that problem but instead i used dynamat now i dont have the rattle anymore.I always drive with my front windows all the way down and both windows at the back slightly open apparently kicks out more bass and ur car will definately sound louder from the outside. i`ve got 2 Fi Btl 12" running on a 5000w targa 2ohm amp and i can tell u wen i go to work peoples windows rattle wen i drive past their homes.Btw i`ve got a hatch back car so the bass comes out better.

i`ve got a hatch and tested my subs in my friends car that has a trunk and in his car we got spl reading of 123.4dB so we connected the subs in my civic hatch and kicked out a wopping 140.7dB. wen u drop ur back seats can you see right through into the trunk or not,if u can then i suggest u let the subwoofers face to the front with ur back seats down and do a dB reading.playing heavy bass songs like "bass i love you" with ur trunk closed will really damage ur subs coz thers not enough air for the subs to breath. Well thats my opinion hope it helped.

i`ve got 2 x 12" pioneer premier subs and they slap very hard. I paid about 2700 south african rands about $400 for both subs and my car u can hear couple of blocks away.when i play bass i love you in my back yard then the neighbours complain coz my bass let their windows, roof , and plates and stuff rattle. havnt tested it yet but they should kick out +140dB together.

Hey guys hope you ppl can help me.Speaking about amps which i know very little about,im trying to tune my monoblock amp 2500w got 2 12" Starsound digital dvc subwoofers running on that amp.what do i need to turn on my amp to get the most bass out off my subs. I tried to upload a pic i`ve taken eaarlier of my amp but cant seem to upload it. My amp got LEVEL,SUB SONIC,LPF,BASS BOOST AND PHASE. How far shud i turn each of them. At the moment only level is turned to max, sub sonic is at its lowest and bass boost on its highest but LPF and Phase i dont know how far i should turn them. Any help would be appreciated thanks.
