ok. i've made some calculations and came up with this box do you guys this it will be fine? gonna be running it on a Celestra FA1.6k amp, and i have XS power D2400 battery. going to upgrade my amp in the next few months, i would probably go on a T2500-1bdCP well. this is the box: 3.75 c.f @ 30 hz 19mm thick, the top is going to be 24mm thick.

so should i use two 45 degree elbows to create a 90 degree, to fit it in?

can you tell me your box dimensions and port length? and if you could give me a pic of your box i would be greatful. my box is going to be a little complicated, because of a small trunk, so I must have a slanted side for more volume. trying to figure out how to make the port. two 6" aero ports in my box would give me a 35 hz tuning, there is no space for a longer tubes. so im going to do a slot port. still trying to figure out how to make the port. i'd like 30-33 hz tuning, the lower the better.

bdog, can you please give me your box details? I'd like to build something like that. HxWxL and port size and length mdf thickness and all the rest of the details that I need to know. I want to convert it to a normal slot port box, I don't know how to make a kerfed slot port.

on rated power ?? what amp are you using? what car?

how much did you hit? over 140db? on less than 40 hz?

do you have aero port or slot port?

up. how would be a 4 ft^3 box (after the ports and sub displacements) with a two 6" aero ports tuned to 33 hz would be?

the car is Fiat Grande Punto, gonna install the sub in the trunk. and like i said, gonna be running it on 1.6kw

Hello, I have ordered my Zv3 15 d2 a few weeks ago, and I want to start building the box Sundown says 3 ft^3, but I think a little bigger will be better. I want to build a slot port box tuned to 30-33 hz what volume should I make the box? and how to do the port? gonna be running it on 1.6kw

how do they work in free air? can they be placed in the rear doors?

what's the volume of your box? vented or ported? tuned to? and how much power are you giving it? * if ported, what kind of port/s you have?

my amp is Celestra FA1.6k (rated 1650 RMS at 1 ohms) i have 6 c.f before the displacements. from the 6 c.f need to take off the sub displacement and the port displacement. so i guess around 4.5 c.f for the sub, maybe 5 c.f, depends on the port.

hello. i have 1.6k RMS and my trunk can hold max of 6 c.f box, maybe 6.5 (gross volume) i have no problem of building a smaller box aswell (cheaper and less weight) my goal is to hit 25-30 hz for daily use. want it to be as loud as possible. just sold two subs hertz hx380d, that i had in a 5.5 c.f box, i had 142.1@52hz, they were playing too high (box was tuned to 33hz) so i decided to sell them and get one single sub in a suitable box. at first i was locked at the zv3 18. but now with the X series, i am not so sure. if i understand correctly, the X series are built for the lows, and they will kill the 25-30 hz so i think it will be the best option for me. and for the Zv3, the power i have is not enough, only 1.6k WHAT SHOULD I DO? sorry for my english, i am not from the U,S. i forgot to mention, the box will be ported

and how much power do you give it? i've only got 1.6k standard alternator with xs power d2400

Hello, first of all, this is the box that I'm building (it takes 100% of my trunk.) the box is total of 6.3 cubes (before sub displacement and ports.), slanted front box. this is the box: I was thinking about making two 6" tube ports, 15.7" long, at the top of the box, tuned to 36 hz. but my friend told me that two ports arent gonna be enough for that box. my goal is to play 33-38 hz, any suggestions of tube ports? the sub will be sitting at the back of the box. (the slanted side will be behind my back seats.)

i am going to build a new enclosure. and i cant do slot port, not enough space (my box has slanted back, like the rear seats) , its going to be two 6" aeroports (around 26" length) the box im gonna build will be 6.5 cubes (all of my trunk) and 1 cube is going to be for ports so its 1 cube for port, and 5.5 cubes for the sub (maybe make more port area?), on 1.6k amp (1 ohm) and xs power d2400 battery here is a picture of my old box with my small trunk http://imageshack.us/scaled/landing/15/boxxxx.jpg the new box will in the same shape, just like 2-3 inch taller (because the sub will not be at the top) and i am going for the 18

i did measurements, I can build a new box that is a little taller than the old one. my old enclosure is 1" mdf. making the enclosure 0.75" + making it a little taller gives me extra 1 c.f about the power, will be upgrading in the future. in my country all audio parts are very expensive for example. DC 2k amp here cost around 920$
