  1. What are some of the good box design programs out there. not just the free programs, but the ones that can actually help you with all tuning and measurements.
  2. I personally think you just need a shinier (dunno) penny lol
  3. welcome and good luck! This is prolly one of the most helpful forums out there, plus it has some connections with certain companies that could help ya out Everyone here is really cool and will help out whenever they can. Enjoy! and start browsing the member builds section, you will see some nice systems and cars and will learn a lot about building and style! Again welcome! Derek
  4. I personally like BASSHUNTER, his stuff hits pretty good on my system. Plus i really like his remix of 50cent - In Da Club. I also like some of DUNE its pretty good
  5. 2.7 overall high school and goin to Chico in the Engineering program. A big factor I found was what you want to do. more impacted majors will require higher GPA's, less impacting ones will be more forgiving.
  6. I know when you did the GB it also had the non- GB price, but i didnt see that post up so i figured i would just ask. I was wondering what two 10" LVL 3's w/ dual 2 ohm coils are going for and possible shipping to either 95831 (Sac) or 95926 (Chico). thanks
  7. I currently have two 12" kicker L5's in the back of my jeep grand cherokee in ~5 cuft. ported enclosure but I would like to free up some of my cargo space for practical use. It is running off of a Hifonics BXI1606D amp with 1600wrms @ 1ohm. I am looking at switching to two 10" FI SSD's wired to 1ohm to use the full potential of the amp and drop them into ~2 cuft. sealed fiberglass enclosure. I am not sure how this would change the quality and loudness of the system. I know this is a biased forum towards FI and from what ive seen well backed, but i would like to know if this would be a good switch. being in college i am trying to go with the best deal for my money for the time being and i am open to other suggestions as well. thanks for the input, Derek
  8. there is someting about being different. 2 15" FI's or mojo's would be loud, but just the look of 6 10"s is cool. in reality if you build the box right then either way your gonna be bumpin real hard. i say be different, 6 10"s in a crx style box with the right air space and port area. it will look cool
  9. im not gonna lie, but that is one ghetto box hahaha, but all that matters is how it hits. def wall it in the trunk. check out the builds section and watch how other people do it, there are loads of ppl here that can give you tips. im actually gonna be doin that in like 2-3 weeks so ill have pics of the built that might help. good luck mate
  10. for sure, thanks, ill look into that ... 1/0 gauge would be easier cus im not sure where id put the other run of 4 gauge, there is little space in my floor trim, would it be good to run it under the car then up through the floor? just wondering
  11. for sure, thanks for the advice much appreciated
  12. me:: boxers, boxer briefs(when i gotta be active) her:: boy shorts preferred, thong good too, skirt is the best
  13. mmkay thats what i was thinking, im just strapped for cash really. is there a place i could a 1/0 gauge kit for a decent price?
  14. from the battery to the cap is 4 gauge, the wiring for the PA amp would be like a foot long and the wirre to the hifonics is liek a foot long as well
  15. I have a hifonics BXI1606 amp and a Power Acoustiks SL4-1000 (thanks to sean) and right now i am running 4 gauge to my hifonics and was wondering if i can just ad another wire from my cap to power the PA amp. would this be okay or would i have to upgrade my wires and get a spliter from say 2 gauge to two 4 gauge. thanks, Derek
  16. installed and uncoated hits sooo hard its crazy, loudest system ive ever owned
  17. yeah i understand, my depth is a little limited and i wanted to try a CRX style and not take up my whole trunk. but i hear what your saying. thanks fer the advice though everything helps
  18. also meades 4 18"s is only running with 120" of port. I think ima run a 6*10" port with around 60sq in but then i have to tune it to 33hz for it to fit
  19. its a 4 x 10 port. it does seem a little small, but if i make it any bigger it wont fit in the box without turning
  20. thanks guys, tomorrow i will complete this beast and get yall some vids
  21. sry, got a late start, but here it is so far ... btw its tuned to 30Hz my friend doug buildin while i cut to make it faster and of course, gotta fuck around a bit before clean up (thats me)
