  1. I have a 2000 Corolla with 2 12s in the trunk on 1600 watts and it sounds pretty nice and deep except the glass in my rear view mirror keeps rattling and makes the most annoying noise ever which is ruining my bass. Has anyone ever fixed this? (btw please dont say just to take off the mirror because time to time i do pause my music just to see whats behind me)
  2. I want to start this topic by saying thanks for all of the help with my last post about voltage issues. It really helped me a lot. Unfortunately the metal underneath my VW Golf has been a huge problem ever since my first time with a sub. You know its that thin kind a metal thats all bumpy and its supposed to keep heat from getting into the car. it is located right above the muffler tank between the back wheels. I want to fix it with deadener but I read some stuff about people just removing the metal all together. Any ideas?
  3. I need help. I bought 2 Sundown 10s E series V3, and a Rockville 6000W / 1500W RMS amp. I'd like to put both subs in my truck behind the rear seat. Ported if possible. If only one sub is needed I'll sell the other one. I'd like low bass. Behind my seat there's 60" across the back. 8" deep at the bottom. I'd like to go 20" tall. (Wedge box) who can help me with port size/type. The sub requires 1.2 cubes tuned at 32-34hz ported. I'll build it if you post it. Thanks for the help.
  4. So I'm sure I'm not the only person who has the issue of having too much bass for the car to handle. I have 1 12' Rockford P3 and it shakes my trunk door so it constantly rattles, and so does the rear deck which jumps up and hits the rear windshield when my bass hits. I used to have a knit glove wedged between the rear deck and rear windshield which was enough when I had a cheap sub, but it's not enough anymore. Can we have a general discussion on how people have beaten the rattling/buzzing coming from door panels and trunks? Share tips, tricks and strategies.
  5. Ok, first off, I do not know much about this website or about car audio, but I do know more now than I knew when I got my system installed. So anyway, I have a 2010 GMC Sierra 1500 with an Alpine MRX-M50 (500 watt) amp with two RF P1 12" woofers in a pre-fab box. The box is a Bbox by Atrend made for 07-newer GM crew cab trucks. My first problem is a rattle coming from the box from the cutouts where the magnets of the subs are supposed to fit. The rattle occurs mainly with higher bass frequencies but if I turn them up pretty loud it will rattle at almost any frequency. If I put a lot of pressure on the cube shaped extensions of the box (the best way i can describe them) the rattle will stop. So i tried to fix this by taking the woofers out and putting pressure on the cutouts and putting screws in all four side of the inside to hold them tight. Anyway, it did not work, the rattle is still there, any ideas? This is my first question, i have others but this is most important right now.
