We do a LOT of units for these, mainly Limo's, but plenty of car audio systems as well. That said, we run nothing but our XPs in these cars.. Theres a world of difference between something that does 160-170-180 at idle in the real world all day long on these cars, and something that will never see it.. Like I said earlier, the OP just has an alternator that wont charge good at idle on *that car* no matter what he does.. Chrysler/Dodge/Jeep cars are my favorite to run the XPs in because like I said earlier, the Chrysler PCMs rock the shit out of them. Let's put it this way, the Chrysler PCMs are SO good you dont get ANY voltage drop, you get voltage rise.. They go from ~14.0v at idle no load, to 14.7-14.8 full tilt loaded.
