New Box For The Bl 18s = Higher #s

I switched boxes yesterday to a subs up port back setup and hit a 147.9 @ 41hz at a local competition on the TL. Much thanks to Troy for giving me his old boxes to test with. The previous best was 146.5 @ 41hz w/ subs and port back. This new setup is tuned a lot higher than my previous box that was tuned to 32hz. I have to play with the tuning to get it dialed in to peak just right. With all of my previous installs I've had to tune to 32hz to get it to peak just right @ 41hz. Any other tuning would result in lower #s on the meter. So now another is in the works. I'm aiming for 12ft w/ 192in of port tuned to 32hz and a subs up port back configuration. Hopefully this will get me to my goal of 150db.

Now a question for the experienced users. Which is typically louder on the TL, subs facing up at the front of the box (closer to the rear seats) or subs up at the back of the box (closer to the rear gate)?
