2 amplifiers to 1 subwoofer (need to know)

So it is possible to have 2 amps to one subwoofer.. The Subwoofers are 3000W/1500RMS.. The amps are 1700RMS at 1 ohm.. If i do this.. What would need to be done in the way of power? RCAs? and Tuning?

I personally would not run that much power to a MX. . .

You need everything you would normally need for connecting 2 amps - batteries, h/o alt, big 3, etc.

You can use a y-splitter if your headunit does not have 2 subwoofer RCA outputs.

For tuning, you will have way more power than that sub will handle, so you are going to have to be careful with the gain and volume. . .
