kanes_disciple
First off i'm gonna be running in between 1400 and 1600 watts. I now have a 05 Ford Taurus and I found out the stock alternator puts out 135 amps. I plan on buying a Kinteik 1800 or 2000 to put in the back and just using a regular car battery under the hood. I also will be doing the big 3. Do you guys think I will need to get a 200 amp alternator off ebay or will my stock alt be sufficient enough to use as a daily driver? I also still have my Kinetik 600 and if it would be better I could put the 1800 or 2000 under the hood and put the 600 in the back. Please put some info on this would ya! I'm running 1700 watts RMS on my lows, and another 1000(idk about RMS) on my highs. All i have is 0 gauge big 3, a stinger 1700 amp battery, and a stock starter batter. My alt is 140 i believe. I usually bump with my heated seats/sunroof/AC on and stuff, and i don't have any problems. I think u should be alright. 2009 Cobalt LT Pioneer Headunit 2x Pioneer 6 1/2 (stock amp) 2x Pioneer 1" tweeters (stock amp) 2x Pioneer 6x9 (stock amp 4x Pioneer 6 1/2 Pioneer GM-6400F Soundstream DTR 1700 R.I.P 2x Champion series PRO 12" subs 0 AWG Big 3, Stinger SP1700 battery To come: New or repaired DTR!!
