  1. A friend is going to help me set my gains with the DD-1 on Sunday. I dont use my CD player so I'm thinking if we set it with the CD then I may still clip. I use a USB drive to listen to my music, so he told me to look for the CD file to download and put on my drive. If anyone can direct me as to where it is I would greatly appreciate it!
  2. I got a Kinetik HC2000 I'll sell for $140 plus shipping! PM me if interested!
  3. I have a HC2000 I'm selling for $140. I dont know what the racing edition is, but I will sell this battery to you. If you're interested PM me!
  4. When I got off work today me and my buddy went to my local stereo shop and borrowed a pair of new RCA's. We pulled the head unit and hung the RCA's over the seats and plugged them into the amp. Noise was still there, so my buddy grabbed a small screwdriver and touched the outside of the RCA's plugged into the back of the head unit and then touched the ground screw and the noise was gone. So in the end it was the RCA's needed to be grounded, so the guy that did my install ruined my head unit! Thanks for all the ideas and info guys!
  5. I know the seatbelt bolt isn't the best ground, but I had my main ground on a seatbelt bolt in my blazer and never had one problem with it. But ya we can try the strut tower for a ground, thanks!
  6. Head unit is a Kenwood Excelon, RCA's go down the passenger side and the power wire plus remote wire go down the drivers side. The amp was first grounded to the Kinetic in the trunk and yesterday we moved the ground to a seatbelt bolt after grinding it to bare metal and made it under 18 inches and the noise is still there. After work today we r going to try a noise filter at the head unit first and if that don't work then we will try a ground loop isolater!
  7. OK, so heres the scenario. Me and a friend redid my system this past week and I now have alternator noise. I have done everything except running the source unit power directly to the battery, grounding the RCA's, and a power line noise filter. The amplifier is a brand new powerbass ASA 400.4. Note that the amps were in the trunk before and all the wires were ran together per the installer that put them in and I had no noise at that time, but that was the old amp that got 2 channels burnt up. We had to redo all the wiring due to a new box and amp rack and we got alternator noise for free. Any input would be greatly appreciated!
  8. I got the alternator brand new off ebay back in March and its worked fine so far!
  9. I forgot to add that when I got it turned up really loud my dash lights dim and my headlights dim somewhat bad when the bass hits now!
  10. My current setup is a older rockford fosgate power series 1000bd on 2 12 inch RF P3's. I have 2 of the big three done(ground to frame is all I'm missing), 0 gauge wire going from my front battery to my back battery, and a 200 amp alternator. My front battery is just a regular car battery and my back battery is a Kinetik HC600. I am prolly gonna go with a 3000 watt amp to one 18 in February and was wanting to know what if any upgrades I need to make to handle the 3000 watt setup. I know I will need a Kinetik under my hood and finish the big 3, other than that I dunno what other upgrade I would need to do. Any help would be appreciated!
  11. I have a set of Infinity 6X9's that have never seen an amps power. They have been sitting on my shelf for a year now. I will sell them for $50 plus shipping. I can send you pics and make a video of them working if needed!
  12. Thats a nice looking machine and I bet it was expensive. This right here tells me I will be buying my next alternator from the right company!
  13. Footlongsam on here recommended Protecto Wrap to me, it is really cheap and works quite well. You'll find it at Home Depot in the roofing section, and if you need to ask someone just do that. I paid $20 a roll and after 3 rolls I have 4 layers on my roof and 5 layers on the tailgate of my blazer, plus I did a few layers on my two back doors. But as everyone else said its up to you.
  14. Nice BBQ grill in the first pic and I love that coffee table in the second pic. Where'd you get it at?
  15. One ground goes from the battery to the chasis and one goes from the battery to the engine block!
  16. I got registered on there, but when I try to upload a video my computer locks up. I dunno if theres a ton of people on there or if it still needs to process all the videos being uploaded.
  17. I finally got around to making some videos the other day and its sounding really good. The first one is a walk through of my setup and what it does on the TL. The others are some songs I chose to show the flex and how hard its hitting! Let me know what you think! This is the update of what's new! On to the rest of them
  18. I ran my 0 gauge from the passenger side over to the drivers side and drilled a hole in the firewall up close to the brake master thingy lol. Then I ran down the drivers side by the door jam and went underneath the back carpet and toward the middle of the seat. I do know once I was done I couldnt get my trim pieces back down on my floor because of the wire being so thick. I would have went underneath the carpet all the way to the back but I have heat vents that go under both of my front seats, so there was no way to run the 0 gauge wire that way. I hope this helps you!
