adam6604 Posted February 16, 2011 Report Posted February 16, 2011 hey guys, im building my first box, ever. its going in my 1998 dodge ram 1500 ext. cab truck backseat im keeping the seat up, and it is housing 4 12" kicker cvr's. im plannning of putting all 4 subs in a row, completely covering my back seat, as i want to see out my rear window i can't decide whether to do sealed ( as it is easy to make ) or ported, it is my first build, and im pretty new to the enclosure building. also, any idea's for what specs to build to ( sealed or ported) ? and i only have 1000Rms going to all 4 for now, if that makes a difference on which box to choose. ive heard a single 12" CVR in a sealed box, and it sounded great so im kind've leaning towards sealed as it sounded better ( and easier to make ) then my factory ported boxes i have now. so please share your genious with car audio with me! lol thanks Driving my 2008 Dodge Ram 2500 MEGA cab with the 5.7 hemi. Do you want to do the design yourself or pay someone to do it? i will be designing it myself and building it myself, i have 2 sheets of MDF in my garage lol i want a happy medium maybe? its the loudest ive heard in my town, with them in factory ported boxes so who knows what its tuned too.
