you should just try running all your leds off of one 12 volt relay and one switch seperate from your actual dash.

How would that work? I'm not very experienced with relays..how do they work? And I want the LEDS to turn on with that switch. Cuz thats when u can actually. Them when I turn on the lights. I don't want to have a separate switch for them.

So basically you run a 12 v power wire to the relay, and on the other prong you continue that power to your LED's. Then you take a 12v "signal" wire(same as the remote wire off a deck basically) and run it to another prong. The wiring diagram is on the relay itself. So what happens is it breaks the connection from the battery to the LED's, but when the signal wire gives 12v's it allows the power to continue to the LED's. You can get your signal wire from any 12v wire depending on when you want to be able to turn the LED's on and off i.e. if your signal wire is tapped into an ignition wire, the ignition has to be on for the relay to allow power to the LED's. They are very simple. Hope this helps.

Ooooohhhhhh snap!! So basically like an amp!?

So you had to have jiggled something loose then. You're gonna have to go check everything I think! I'd help if I was closer bro! Sorry! Good luck!
Damn it...maybe it was the bass.??? Cuz I was at my bass spot bumpin bass. That maybe? Haha and where r u???

What do you mean where am I at? As in where do I live? Sacramento California.

Discovered more FRIKIN problems!

Man I have no idea, short of checking that last Led you were talking about you did. But I can't see why that would take out the entire system. I guess, if it's all on the same fuse it would, but it just seems fishy to me.

BTW, SCAN GAUGE II FTMFW!!!!! :yahoo:

O damn! Nvm u r far! Haha

I found the problem sort of!! Haha

And yeah man SCAN GAUGE!!

Have you checked your load on those leds? It may be too much for that fuse? If you're running more power through that fuse than its rated for, then you would probably blow it. Also, just as a different test, run a power wire from the battery to a switch, so its isolated, then run a fuse in there between the switch and the main line out to the leds. Flip the switch. If the fuse blows, it's a short, if it doesn't then it's too much for that fuse. Up the fuse, or choose a different route for your power.

The relay idea is a good one as well. That should help, provided it's not a short. A screw through the wire, piece of metal the wire is running over could ground out, anything. You may have to trace back all the wires and check em all.

Good luck buddy! Actually in thinking about it, the bass would cause a lot of vibration which would cause rubbing on any wires that are just resting on metal. If that's the case, it might be just coincidence that it rubbed through now. Just a thought.

I would check the wiring of the switch and if you pinched a wire screwing the panels back down.

I lifted a 99 CK burb, 99 is when they changed body styles. Sucks to get parts cause you have to make sure they understand it's a CK... :turkey:

The wiring doesn't go through my door panels. My door blue LEDs works! Haha

O really?? Didn't they change on 00??

It's somewhere around then. I just know it makes a difference in lift kit, body parts and a few engine parts. Might be one of those early/late year issues.

Do you have one of those LED lights under the rear doors? I had an issue with that trailer connection shorting out the other lights. I'd also check the load on that fuse with all the other lights as well, you could of add 5 extra amps with the other lights causing it to fail.

Yes I have the original power line right next to it not connected also with a fuse. So I'm gonna try that! And yes all those could b right man. Should u check it out today?? Or start workin on the driver door?? What do u think?? Haha

No what I did was disconnect all my LEDs and the only left the main power wire which only runs from the switch to the second row and it still blows out with all the LEDs disconnected. So it would b an easy check up. So there's deff a short in the power wire. I know it's not the load. Since it still blows out with all the led lights disconnected.
