Forevrbumpn Posted February 25, 2011 Report Share Posted February 25, 2011 I received this sub to recone from a friend. After tinkering with it, I noticed a lot more pros than cons to this motor! I was surprised honestly. Shorting ring above, and below the top plate, besides Shocker, I dont know who does this- A definite PLUS- Helps a lot with cooling as well So, I noticed the factory 12" frame, actually needs a 13" cone to fit the frame right. My 12" cones fit, but over hang the frame some. Talked him in to a 15" recone- CHROME frame, Power HX2 cone, triple, maybe quad stacked spiders We will see. The coil dimensions are a perfect TRF coil replacement. Only disappointment to this motor is, the top plate is about 0.5" thick wtf? The coil factory is about 2.25" I'am tossing in there a 2.5" winding length coil D1 It wont bottom out, motor is deep enough But lousy oh well Quote I have a ritual called "terminator". I crouch in the shower in the "naked terminator" pose. With eyes closed I crouch for a minute and visualize either Arnie or the guy from the 2nd movie. I then start to hum the T2 theme. Slowly I rise to a standing position and open my eyes. It helps me get through my day. The only problem is if the shower curtain sticks to my terminator leg. It sorta ruins the fantasy.
