I have yet to finish my big 3 (have only the alt cable to replace)due to our cold weather, but have 2 batteries and 2 battery boxes, so imight try it to see if it helps my pathetic electrical system. I used to know a lot about this stuff, way back when it was simple, and Mark Fukudra was king :-) Quote Big 3 with 1/0 welding cable, dual runs of 1/0 and 2gua F-R DD 2512 D2 powered by Audioque 1200d at 1ohm, 2.5ft^3 ported to 36Hz Boston SX 6.0 comps powered by Phoenix Gold M50 for front stage Silver Flute 8" midbass in doors powered by Alpine 3539 Alpine CDA-117 HU
dereileak Posted February 28, 2011 Report Posted February 28, 2011 its kinda like a buffer, it gives power when your alt is starving, so your alt is more constantly charging the batteries, but helps lessen out the spikes on it, since I have added my d3400 and d3100 I havnt gone below 13.2v's even when I am going crazy, stock 130 amp alt, 11 years old, so its not doing 130 amps anymore probably Quote 2006 Mazda3 Hatchback Black 5 Spd ManualPioneer 4300DVD2 Sundown SA-12 (34hz Tune, 3.22 cubes, 14.5 inches per cube, Triple Baffle)Kicker 10ZX2500.1 (2845 RMS) Sub AmpKicker 11ZX650.4 (705 RMS) Mid Amp -- (3 Amps)Kicker KQ3 Active CrossoverKicker KQ30 EqualizerKicker 09QS60.2 Components (Woven Carbon Cones)Kicker 09QS65.2 Components (Woven Carbon Cones) - (3 Sets)2/0 Gauge Electron Beam Technologies (3 Runs, 2 +, 1 -) 1/0 Gauge KNU Kollasal Flex (1 Run for -) 300 Ft Kicker X-Series 16 Gauge Speaker WireXS Power D3400 (Rear)XS Power D3100 (Front)Singer Externally Regulated Alternator (Being Built)+ The Love for Car Audio and BASS <3UBL Build Log <------- Click Here-------> Normal Build Log (For Comments)
