wader1000 Posted March 4, 2011 Report Posted March 4, 2011 hey fellow smd'er, i want to replace my deck in my 05 silverado, as well as the 4 speakers, i found the speakers i want on audio savings the guy at my local shop told me im going to have to get a wiring harness or chims or something so that my alarm still works because that is hooked up to the dash, and also so that my truck bings when i leave the key in, ext. he told me there like 300$ and yea i dont really wanna pay that, http://www.scosche.com/car-audio/product/538 http://www.audiosavings.com/category/CD-Player-Wire-Harness.aspx i found those to things, i was just wondering if thats all i need, thanks guys appreciate it.

RickyFriery97 Posted March 4, 2011 Report Posted March 4, 2011 yea if you have factory bose and onstar the wiring harness that allows you to keep both is pretty expensive unless you get your four new door speakers and get a 4 channel amp then run a regular harness but you will lose the onstar 2014 Chevy Silverado Crewcab 1994 Chevy Full Size blazer
wader1000 Posted March 4, 2011 Author Report Posted March 4, 2011 so i wont need anything, i dont have onstar or bose, just stock, half the speakers are busted so imma get those jl and prob a deck, my dad just didnt want to spend 250$ on a wireharness
