JTahoeSport Posted March 9, 2011 Report Posted March 9, 2011 Whatsap forum, iv been wanting to get into audio customization for the longest, all of my previous rides have been modified for speed, but with no kick in the sound system. I just bought a 95 tahoe 2 door and i want to make a great project for it. Dont need the trunk space so im open to all suggestions. Any help is appreciated, thanks!

Do you want to compete or just a daily driver? Are you looking for all out SPL or something with more sound quality? edit: what kind of music do you normally listen to also?

Thanks for the reply, my budget will progress, but for now im looking to spend around 2,000. My ultimate goal is to have everything entirely custom which i realize takes a lot of time and money but thats later. For now il be happy with pre built boxes and just fillen up the trunk. I just dont want to buy something overpriced for nothing. Also no idea about which amp brings the best out of which box. Right now it will be my daily driver, I would prefer sound quality, I will bump anything which includes, Above the Law to Slim Thug, From Tiesto to Dizzy Rascal, Heavy Metal, all types of genera

First sub that comes to mind for me is the SSA Xcon, heard such great things about it, also the Fi Q. Im not too familiar with DC Subs im sure someone will jump in and recommend some of their product to you too. Consider a decent amplifier to power your sub (fosgate, sundown, Audioque).. there is a ton more. And also consider some electrical work (extra battery(s), possibly high output alternator). You should set up your system with the option to upgrade later if thats what you want to do. Go off manufacturer's recommendations on box size and power to be safe. later when you get more of a feel you can start to play around with it more. Do lots of research, dont just take the first opinion thrown at you. Consider going with some solid wire to begin with also. knukonceptz.com and weldingsupply.com both have good products at good prices. good luck with your build, if you get lost ask questions, people here are almost always willing to help you out.
