Level 5 18 buzzing at low volume?

Recommended Posts

Yea its a high pitched noise.... gonna tape up the dust cap and see if it does it anymore.

What would cause a dust cap to become loose? I do give the subs a good pounding, got them on two SD saz1500ds....

if you have 2 saz1500s on 2 dc level 5's you're not giving them a good pounding, it's more like a slight tickle

c'mon now, if i was shooting an 8 year old, it wouldnt be MY 8 year old.

i recently got a Pyle PL1590BL and i was building an enclosure for it tuned to 25 hz. i didn't have any tools to cut a circle so i hit it with a big hammer.

Lol, hum yea, nothing like the fresh smell of coils in the morning.

if you're smelling voice coil with 1.5k to a level 5 you're just clipping it all to hell.

I had this issue to at low volumes... When I reconed some of the glue on my dustcap was too far away from the edge and it didn't glue the whole way around. Eventually the dustcap just came completely off when I was playing. Glued it back on completely once I realized I had missed parts before. Never had that issue again.

No I have 4 1500ds 2 on each.

The noise got worse today while it was on loud... the sub was moving oddly too.

Might have to pull the sub out, check out the glue joint on the cone to coil...
