  1. i would personally think that the 4 e8's would take more power..it's the same size coils, even if the sa8's are a little better thermally i'd think (with my experience of the e seies) that the e8's could take another 1200 if they had to, i have mine on a 1600, 2 of them.
  2. well if you have to ask, i'm gonna say a sundown saz/sae/sax 1200d @.5 if you've got any upgrades to your electrical.
  3. with your lack of space if you want to go ported you might oughta do a couple e8v3's. you have enough depth for them as they're less than 5" deep, and you would probably have more output with them ported rather than the 2 sd-12's sealed.
  4. I got in my 2 E-12's today from FedEx and went ahead and hooked them up. They're in a 4 cube box tuned to 32 hz with an apsm1500 @1 ohm. They have far beyond exceeded what I expected. They have an amazing sound to them and have a really strong lowend. They don't feel or look like a 400 Rms sub. Couldn't be happier with my purchase. I'll have some vids tomorrow because its almost already dark.
  5. Thanks for the response Jacob, I'm dying to have them here haha, already got the box built, 3.8 cu. w/ 52 in. of port tuned to 33...will be posting pics/vids once they're here.
  6. dude i've been tryin to figure life out lol, i went to uk for a year, and took this semester off because i thought i wanted to sell cars (typical dumbass me) so i'm going back and getting back into audio, i actually think i might go into sound engineering. But has your number changed? I've got a guy from with an 859 area code asking me to build a box for him, and its from craigslist, but somehow he knew i was me on here. Part of the reason i got outta the whole car audio scene to begin with was because when i was at school i literally had nowhere i could work on my car or anything, but now i'm back at home and just itchin to build stuff.
  7. alright cool, it'll prolly be an apsm1500, just trying to save some money haha . But okay i'm gonna get to torres and start designing
  8. yeah i'm trying to get low, it's been a while(about a year) since i've had any bass in my car, last setup i had were 2 lvl 4 15's. But 2 cubes per sub even when they're getting somewhat overpowered?
  9. So I was just scrolling through woofersetc and ended up impulse buying 2 sundown e-12's. I was really just looking for something at a cheap price and since i'd never tried sundown i thought i may as well now. Now I did this without reading any reviews or anything haha. But i assume that these should be some pretty good subs, only thing i'm not liking now that i look at the specs is the 12mm xmax.. But i'm kind of curious as to the box specs that i should stick with to get the most out of these, daily, and i'm planning on using around 1200 watts.
  10. Like I said, 275 is pretty much the top limit, so if you could Do 275 or possibly 300 shipped then I would love to have the q
  11. Haha you know I would if this was my build but this is for my friend..he's already told me he doesn't want to go over 275, and his amp is 1.5k rms
  12. Hey guys I'm looking for an 18" sub. The sub can be anywhere from 600-1200 Rms and I'm looking at pretty much all brands but I favor dc and FI/aa. Budget is around $250 give or take 15 or 20. I'm in 40509 zip code so If you're going to give me a price check how much shipping will be before giving me a price please, thanks.
  13. Or they just never had new Subs from dc Just get anything really sharp and cut through
  14. Do not wall an explorer with 2 15's...I have that under the window line in mine.
  15. I don't even understand the purpose of this thread...I see nothing that has to do with a review other than your said "178" with lanzar subs and hifonics amps without pics to prove anything
  16. 3 15's isn't gonna happen..dd's like about 4-4.5 cubes per 15...you can do 2, or 1 9518 like n8 said..I had a 9518g in my explorer and it was sick
  17. Both are within price range. What would you do? For sure a Tahoe if you can find a nice one with a lowish amount of miles on it. A lot more space and I'm pretty sure you can fit more Alts in the future
  18. I'd personally build from the inside, but I've seen people build outside with really good results and a good end look
  19. The 90's Tahoes should be pretty cheap if you can find one without a lot of miles I'd do that, or maybe an expedition or something..I don't think I could get 4 15's in my explorer without being way above the window line, and a blazer would probably be almost just as small
  20. Amen! Every post you make is about some random slut that smiles at you and you start to like..and the fact that you make so many posts like this tells me that it's not exactly workin out for you.
