eder69
A friend of my mine is putting a 12'' RF P1 single 8 ohm sub in his car. He needs to know what amp would work good for it. rms is 150 watts and 300 watts peak. Single 8 ohm. Any other info just ask. Thanks.
dthomas
I would think any amp that puts out around 300-400 watts @ 4ohm, since it should put out around 150-200 watts @ 8ohm. I would probably used a decent brand amplifier since the resistance is out of normal range for most car audio amps ( 1ohm - 4ohms ). I don't think it would cause any problems because of the higher resistance. Unfortunately running @ 8ohm will cut the power by roughly half of most amps. --David
Babyjuice
This is just my two cents but I've ran a kenwood sub that was 8 ohms off a kenwood kac 8104d and it sounded amazing for the low power and I believe that kenwood amp is the perfect power for it imo BABYJUICE
