Guest Wood Posted March 22, 2011 Report Posted March 22, 2011 So im looking to add another alt onto my pickup, im going to replace my AC pump, as i have not had AC in years and they belt has been off so i might as well use the space. Anyways what im looking for is just a plain ONE wire self exciting alt i guess, i can make my own bracket as i own a machine shop. but every time i go to look for alternators it asks for make model bla bla bla. I just want a good 200+ amp GM alt that doesnt need a harness wired up or anything, the alt will simply be for STEREO only. I want a quality alt. but i dont want to spend 600 dollars, that just seems out-fvckin-rageous for an alternator. Thanks for any input.
