And yeah I whatched the vid of the o scope and it looks awesome but I don't have the money for it now and I'm might just wait for the SMD distortion listener to come out. you never set your gains 100% without scoping it. take it to your local audio shop and they might do it for free. your probly way past it being destroyed. youll prolly have to look into a recone or a new sub all together. D-train-13k Posted April 1, 2011 Report Share Posted April 1, 2011 you take your sub out and look under the spider. depending on what kind of sub you have some are easier to see than others. if your coil is black. then its done. still a copper color and your good to go. not doubting your intelligence or trying to insult you, but do you know what the coil is? And I have Sundown SA-12's well luckly those subs have the ability to be reconed. so i would check your coils first and see what they look like. then if they are fried i would buy new cones and then before you throw any power to them go have it scoped.
