soundbybass Posted June 28, 2012 Report Posted June 28, 2012 Sometimes the metal channel that runs across the roof breaks you might check also on the back wall below the window the channel rite there broke alot so we cut the channel out and epoxyd a 2x6 in there it also gives you sumn to bolt the box to, great build where are you from, like to hear it someday, our chevy pic Team Big Un,Team DB Drive, Team DB Driven, Team Xs Power Team Ohio Gen, Usaci 2-4 modified champ 5 years in a row
fox_racin4 Posted June 28, 2012 Author Report Posted June 28, 2012 My rear wall, of the wall is about 4" thick... Roof above wall is also about 3" thick, floor is a good 5" thick the "shell" of the wall is built right to to truck, The roof of my truck is 2 layers with about a 1/2" gap inbetween that is rattling and flexing pretty good, Going to stiffen it all up real good, again and see if it helps Vids do no justice for the amount of flex there is lol 1998 gmc extd cab 12 crossfire C710s 4 SAZ-4500s 3 Singer 400A altsbuncha mids/highs Team Asshole
soundbybass Posted June 28, 2012 Report Posted June 28, 2012 Im sure there is alot of flex our chevy with the 8-12" moved a lil air it did about a 157 and broke the channel alot it was annoying cuz it let out a horrible rattle noise when it woud let go, good luck to you on your build seems to be going very well Team Big Un,Team DB Drive, Team DB Driven, Team Xs Power Team Ohio Gen, Usaci 2-4 modified champ 5 years in a row
