cjvue Posted December 24, 2012 Author Report Share Posted December 24, 2012 Very nice man, i love the daily box for sure, so you were burping almost the same score using a single 8" aero or a single 6" aero right? to the ears wich port is louder? i´m guessing the 6" aero plays a larger bandwith right? The single 6" aero was slightly louder on the meter at low power.... 8" aero pull ahead at high power, which is expected. To the ear the 8" is louder as well, but does not sound as good as the 6" aero. It was very musical and plays very flat. Hey Jeff your not using the VFL 500? Still got it? So to continue where I left off, The Zv2's were fixed and was recently sold, but got damage during shipping so it's back with me =) Anyhow, on to the pictures.... I acquire a pair of saz3k's. My ghetto fuse block lol So I decided to build more boxes... building another box with the same spec as I traded away my previous box along with the SA's. Slot port is about 3.3cube @ 38hz with 65^2 or port Then I got my hands of a set of the DC Audio Lvl 4 M1 12's to build and play with... Using Sundown Soft For the life of me, I can't seem to find the pic of them with scores. I test both box with the lvl4's on two saz3k strapped @ 1ohm. Both boxes did 150+ but slot port reads about 0.5db higher iirc. Took the setup with the slot port to MECA comp in San Jose, CA and manage 148.4db. I blew the fuse so fast I couldn't even believe it lol. Last minute testing the night before lol... Was only able to pull a 50 Got my behind handed to me =) but did better than the night before plus I reach my personal goal for the season. Using one SAZ3k @ 0.25 ohm on burp... testing the day before Toys for Tots Comp (Dbdrag) First Run... Elimination... Did 151.3 at final round but didn't get a chance to take pic before it was cleared.
