Amp For Mids/Highs

Recommended Posts

could get a kicker 850.4 that would be 214 watts a channel, plus you will get a bit more cause they underrate there amps, then you can put up to 2 4ohm speakers on each channel to get the power, so probably

channel 1: one speaker (100 watts @ 4 ohms)

channel 2: one speaker (100 watts @ 4 ohms)

channel 3: two speakers (200 watts @ 2 ohms, 100 per speaker)

channel 4: two speakers (200 watts @ 2 ohms, 100 per speaker)

Those are all in rms terms too. Really any amp that will do 200 watts per channel @ 2 ohms will do what you want

I was thinking of something like that.

I guess that amp does 120 @ 4 ohm, and 160 at 2 ohm, so not quite 200, but close, if you get an amp that does more then rated, which you will, it will be close to 200rms

sundown 100.4 = the best 4ch amp ever made the crossover is unbelievable and it has plenty of power to power any combination of speakers im using 2 of them to power 4 tweets 4 6.5" and 2 8"

Ummm...what? :bull: :bull:

OP, no to the soundstorm, sure to the MB. From what I've heard their amps are decent.

Might be worth mentioning what speakers you have though.

Too many projects, too little time...

^^^ I'm going with T3. 6.5 component, 6.5 coaxial, and 6x9 coaxial. A pair of each.

I got a feeling those will beg for MOAR POWAR lol.

When it comes to mids and highs, I have always been told more power is better than not enough. Just something to keep in mind.

Then what do you recomend?
