Tonio
Ok I heard or problems with the viper 5701 and my problem is I have a retarted error tones even after I got it exchanged from where I bought it from but what would cause this? When I paid some1 to install it they didn't hook up the tach wire they didn't isolate all 3 door wires and they didn't hook up the hood pin, so I ripped the car apart and redid the install myself it was easy as hell and still no confirmation from remote I installed the same alarm in my 240sx mt and I had no probs with it was even easier cuz no need of a immobilizer bypass is it the alarm brain being faulty or is it bad connections? Julian@MotoCARR
Try reprogramming the remote to the 5701. How old is the 5701 and where did you get it from? When the 5701 was first released, there were a significant amount of units that came out with remotes with bad solder contacts causing them to not communicate. Blackedout
What features of the alarm have you used? Have you hooked up remote start or not? Error tones coming from the key fob or the siren? When do the error codes occur and with what function button? The doors don't need to be isolated. The alarm can be linked to the relay trigger on the driver/ passenger/ rear doors.... Doing so only unlocks all doors with 1 click of the unlock button instead of 2 clicks like a factory remote.
