Monergist
My voltage is dropping below 10.9 and I can hear the subs burping while the bass hits (and sometimes before the bass hits (but the system works fine (burp free) when I turn my headlights off)). Even when I put on music with minimal bass at a low volume, the sub sometimes elevates to a high volume on its own. Am I over powering my subs (3/4 gain), or under powering my amps (2 Orion 2500D's; 2 Orion HCCAs wired down to 1 Ohm)? Did I blow my subs or fry my amps? Or are the amps overheating because of the low voltage? Right now I have an 8 year old HO alternator (220 amps) that I'm going to replace with a Mechman soon; a DieHard battery, and a Kinetik HC-2400. I'm thinking about replacing the DieHard with an XS-Power. Which battery would you guys suggest for under the hood? I was looking at the D1400 or the D1600. I'm also going to add another battery to help the HC-2400. Which one should I get to do this? Or should I just replace the HC2400 with a bigger XS-Power? 1994 Cadillac Fleetwood Brougham Pioneer AVH-P5200BT Hertz Mille MLK-165 Component System Hertz Hi Energy HCX-165, 6.5 Hertz Hi Energy HCX-690 (6x9s) Audison Voce AV K6 Component System Audison VRX 4.300 Audison VRX 2.250 Sundown 4500D SMD 15" XS Power D3400 (under hood) Three XS Power D3100 (trunk) Monster XLN-201 RCAs DC Power Engineering 390XP H/O Alternator
