bibby>Chode
Alright guys. This is my honda thread. Anything i do to it will all be updated here. I don't have anything in my possesion yet, but i bought Axles, and coilovers today that should arrive by saturday, or monday, then next week i will be putting them on. Thursday, I will be glassing in holes on my trunk lid from the spoiler, and also pulling a dent, and sanding it all down, and priming it with black/dark grey primer. I may start that tommorrow when i get off work. This is the game plan... Ordered....Axles (CV's are bad) (be here wednesday) Ordered....Coilovers Fix Trunk Lid Rear Bumper (ordered) Both Quarter Panel Extensions (ordered) A/C Condenser (ordered) Taillight spray (Tint Tails) (ordered) Head Lights (Blacked Out) (ordered) Steering Wheel (ordered) Mirrors (Aerodynamic) (ordered) Front & Rear Lip These are the materials i got for glassign the holes in my trunk lid. The plan is to drill out the rusted holes, then spray whatever may be left with rust killing primer. Fill the holes with glass from the bottom, and coat that with resin. Then flip it over, andfill the hole flush from the top with glass/resin, then sand that smooth with the trunk lid, and rage it. Does this sound like it will work? Yes, i have more brushes. bibby>Chode
Alright, when i got off at five, i popped my glassing cherry. I dont think it came out too bad for my first try. I glassed in the holes where the spoiler was installed, and the holes where the honda emblem was. I didnt get alot of pics, but tommorrow after work i will be raging all the glass spots. then after that dries, i am sanding all the clear off the trunk lid, and all the rust in the corners, and spraying it flat black to match my QP extensions, and bumper. This was harder to get off than i expected. Though it was't hard, jsut harder than i thought. All i had done was drill out the rusted holes to get rid of the rust. Then grinded it smooth. Also grinded/sanded all the rust from the inside as well. Glass drying Close up of one of them After i sprayed it with flat black to keep anything from rusting over night.
