bre2ts
I was wondering if someone could explain/video how to use a router and a round off bit to round the edges of a box. Can you use a plunge router? Do you do it before or after assembly? Do you round off both sides of the edge? korey_hofer
I don't have a video but after box is assembled you round it over, one pass does both edges. if you can keep even pressure on a plunge router it will work but I like fixed bass myself. it might take more than one pass down a corner to get it perfect but it's rather easy. just remember no screws that will destroy your bit, a finish nail is fine to go through though previously known as wenn_du_weinst aka fucking internet coward supreme. dimpthepimp
U can use a plunge router. I use it after assembly and I only do one edge except for the inside port where the port starts..
bre2ts
Thanks guys... So I would round off one side of an edge and that's it? I wouldn't flip it over to do the other side? korey_hofer
not on 90 degree corners of a box, the port end will need one on each side but the box corners will be one pass down previously known as wenn_du_weinst aka fucking internet coward supreme. bre2ts
I am doing a aeroport box... This is hard to explain with out pics, buy how do you know which side of a corner to pick? Or does it not matter? Also what size round off bit would be appropriate for this kind of use?
