Yeah for sure its louder its seems like its more violent then louder? Kinda weird but I don't mind. I am gonna loose the back seats and go with a bigger box tuned lower probably next week. Depends when I can buy the wood. I just want to mess around with different boxes to see what sounds best. I was thinking about a 4th order but gonna try the bigger box first. Have you ever ran a 4th order in your exploder? I think getting the port farther away from the hatch will make a big difference. I took a little modding to get the alt in but Justin really knows his shit. It wasn't really that much work to get it in there. Its well worth it though. I am so glad to get rid of the other POS alt. ahahhahaha. I love latina women but I love naked latinas even better. Had to mod things a little but it fits nice and performs awesome. out with the old in with the new The video starts out with a load on the alt (idle the whole video). the A/C (full tilt), lights, and rear defrost on sits at around 15.2 then drops to 13.6/13.8 with stereo at full tilt and will stay constant as long as I let it idle jumps up to 14.9 with everything on at 1.5/ 2k. This alt is the best investment I have made. That alt just kicked my mechman´s ass so badly lol, mine sits around 14.6v hehe, very nice work man, glad you are happy with you alt, i honestly didn´t feel any difference in my explorer, but i sure did in the little swift, beats me I´m the SPL Gains topic creator!! wanna get louder?? check this: SPL Gains. It just feels like it packs more of a punch now. Either way I am sooooo glad that I got it. I am going to put the MLA on a toggle cause at a cold start today I was at 15.9. Figure I will put it on a switch so that when I don't need the voltage I can turn it off but have it on hand for demos and what ever else. I really want to get on the TL and see if I gained with the new alt. I am gonna try a bigger box tuned lower just to see how it sounds kinda mess around and see how different boxes do until I can find the right one. Also gonna add 2 more subs down the road. I was just tossing the idea of a 4th order around. I am gonna try a different box at a lower freq. Just to see how it sounds. siccostyle Posted November 4, 2011 Author Report Share Posted November 4, 2011 So this build no is no longer. I sold the LVL4's and picked up some Crossfire XS v2 18"s. Box is built and playing but still needs some finishing touches on it. Gonna change up a few other things like a new HU and some sound deadening and a new bat rack and amp rack. Here are a few pics of the subs and a quick video of them playing. I will start a new build log when I get some more of the stuff done.
