Triple B
hi i was wondering if someone could give me a price on a box build for 4 dc lvl 2 8s to go under my seat in my 09 silveraod, i know it is gna be a bitch but just curious to see. mounting depth of subs is 5.25 i would like them to be facing towards the front of truck whether its sealed or ported doesnt really matter, although ported would be better thank you
speedball1978
if you want a box to go under the seat, you'll have to go sealed, if you want ported you're gonna need more space, i built a box for 4 dc lvl 2 8's about 2 or 3 months ago.. and the guy loved it.. and it was big enough to fit into a trunk.. just trying to give you a general idea
Triple B
sealed would work fine, im not really all that picky was just curious if i could get ported or not, thank you. how much would it be to build a box? if you could do it or even wanted to
speedball1978
to get maximum space, i would end up using a one piece mdf and then fiberglass the rest of it. could cost quite a bit..., probably lookin at 300 to cover the expense of the resin and matting and sanding time and paint Edited April 18, 2011 by speedball1978
Triple B
okay cool, a little more than i expected, i found one for 185 online but i dont know to trust it or not, cause i dont know what its tuned to or how it would sound with the subs you know? so im kind of torn between havin one built or just buyin one... speedball1978
box is still too damn small for 4 8's... 1.08 cu ft per side...you need 1.6 on each side...
