i have a 2007 ford explorer and want to fiberglass some speakers into to the door but they have that vinyl like texture.. how do i get that back??

it is tricky to say the least.

I will be doing it to steve's pillars soon. with pics

Now if your only talking about doing a small section, then you have to make that piece all by itself, and wrap them in vinyl.

But if you want to make a large piece of the door or the whole door from scratch then my method will work.

Also remember that fiberglass does not stick to plastic, so you are gonna have to figure out how you are going to build the pods.

damn alright.. my plan was to put my mdf rings and dowels right on the door then CA glue the fleece to the door where i need them to meet.. then use some of that urethane stuff to blend them together a little better. Good idea or no?

Make a pod that screws to the door panel, then you can wrap it in vinyl or paint it separetely/

take your doo panel clean with glass cleaner to remove any oil then clean with acetone or lacquer thiner sand with 24 grit

use dura mix 4040 to hold rings
