barnmaster98
so at the moment i'm creating a wiring diagram to put true keyless push button starting in a future project ford ranger, complete with 3 push buttons (accessory, ignition, and cranking) and reed switch. i was wondering what the ignition 2 wire is for in the wiring harness connecting to the key part of the ignition, do i need to supply power to it while it is cranking or is just using ignition 1 sufficient enough for getting the vehicle started? or if i do need to supply power to ignition 2 would i be able to just use the voltage from the wire going to starter solenoid. any help would be nice seeing as when i do get a chance to create all the wiring harness i'd like to have it together and just be able to disable the steering lock and plug it all in. has anyone out there done a similar project?
