New concept

I dont know if i just got used to my current setup or if i have damaged my hearing, but looking to get more out of it, hopefully get a better hairtrick. The new idea will still be from the trunk, but put together almost completely inside the car. The only downside other then the cost of supplies is that i will have to relocate my amp to the back of the box. Yes, i will used rubber to mount the amp. Any thoughts would be great.

I´m pretty sure your ears got use to it lol, that happens to everybody!! Anyways, before trying that, i would flare those ports and move the amplifier from that position, that would be a HUGE gain and i´m pretty sure it would move more air since the amplifier it´s covering part of the port and also, it´s kind of small port area for those subs so you would gain a lot by flaring those ports, just saying...

About your new concept, i really like it, don´t know much about those subs so i can´t give you a better input, but i like the idea, once again, it would be cheaper to test a little bit more the one you have right now...

Since that picture was taken, the amp rack was cut down, and freed up more of the port. I can only take the amp down another inch or so. I checked online and the cheapest i found the 6" flares was from precision ports and its about $70 for 4 (2 inside, and 2 out) and the connecting rings. If i spend that much on them then i will use the aero ports for the new design if i dont get enough gain from the flares and amp relocation.

Well i decided to give it a shot and flare them myself.

It took me a while to find a proper size bowl for 6" pipe, bought a $20 heat gun from walmart.

It took about 20 minutes of heating it up and shaping it for each one.

They came out ok, but a little uneven. :(

Went for a test fit and realized my amp was still in the way, so I basically removed the amp rack completely and freed up a LOT of port area, which makes a slightly noticeable difference.

So i still have to trim down the flared pieces and attach them to the ports, and get two more 6" PVC pieces for the inside of the box.
