edzy
I just learned how to fiberglass and well, i want to experiment lol I have a rsx, and this is what's currently in it Pioneer z130bt 2 minidsps(processing)May be swapping them out for an audison bit.1 image dynamics xs65 comps sundown 100.4 smd 15 sundown 3500 While it does sound good and get loud, once i get on it, the front stage starts to struggle to keep up. Here's my plan... 4 xs65 per door. b&c de500 horns + image dynamics full horn body Zed audio dreadnaught. The amp does 400 x 4 @ 2 ohms, so if my math is right, with 2 mids on each channel, each mid should be getting 200w each. Jl audio 600/4 for the horns. This does 300 x 2 bridged @ 8 ohms If my math is right, once everything is in, i should have 2200 watts on tap for the front stage YAY OR NAY? Am i doing too much? Could i get by with less? Discuss.. spl4life
well i guess thats up to your personal taste... if you like screaming mids and highs... then by all means... go for it.. my opinion... the horns are alil over kill... the 4 xs65 per door should be enough... but thats just me.... edzy
What would take care of the highs? I have 1 pair of tweets from the pair that's currently installed. Would those suffice?
spl4life
exactly... personally i think that would suffice... if ever you feel like its not enough... you can always add the horns... try it out... post your build log...let us know how it sounds... im runing only 1 pair of RF T165s on about 150 watts per channel... its keeping up with my lvl 5... at 2500 watts... but yes i do understand where your coming from... at times... it struggles to keep up... im gna add a 2nd set and some midbass drivers... i personally think that would be enough... im not a fan of screaming highs...
