if the place i put the ports and subs is actually the bottom of your box, then you can just move the subs to the proper place and move the ports to the top of the box.

hope that helped :drinks:

thank man i REALLY appreacite it.. onew question tho on those ports, ive never used those types of ports ive always used sloted... is there a difference

hold up... did the ports wrong.

ok lmk bro, also will sub placement on the box as well as port placment (frnt,top,side..) doesnt the woofer need something to "load" against? i just wanna make sure i get everything setup right so i can get the most out of the 4 8"s...

the subwoofer needs some air space to resonate. the enclosure takes care of the rear portion of the wave, and the cabin of the truck should take care of the front. in your situation woofers should either face up or toward you. i'm assuming my original design had the subs facing you?

as long as i interpreted your dimensions right and the subs would actually face you, then i'd stick with that layout.

some cars do over 170db with one sub, so clearly my two 12"s can do that in my car, with my knowledge too! look out bitches!

ok here is the revised box tuned around 35hz. just make sure you cover the top of the port with a piece of 3/4" mdf (like it's the ceiling of the port)

edit: this is what the port should look like from the side when it's finished

and the angle at the top front of the box is 79.1 degrees, top back is 100.9 degrees

oh also only thing ill change is that the port will be on top side of box instead of bottom as theres a small hump in the floor, there fore the bottom of the box will be a fiberglass mold of the actuall floor to utilize every inch under them seats ;)

well if you look at the spec results for the first one i essentially added the lengths of the tubes together not realizing they pretty much act as a single tube. now had each one of those ports been 28.5" long, the tuning would be correct.

but thanks for the feedback! this has been one of my first attempts at box designing so it's good to know i'm doing it right... supposedly anyways hahah

good luck with the build One Luv, lemme know when you get that build log started, i'd love to follow it!

long as you don't change the inner dimensions, it should work grrrreat for you
