how rare are manual cars over there in america ? cos by the way you guys are writing sounds like its a rare thing ?

There are plenty of cars in California with manual transmissions but, the number of people that are capable or willing to drive a car with a manual transmission is lacking. Also, automatic transmissions are just as efficient, if not better, at shifting compared to manual transmissions these days.

Eventually all cars will have flappy paddle gearboxes :(

Takes the fun out of shifting.

If anything, semi-auto is more fun to drive than fingershifts.

If I wanted to change gears with my fingers, I'd hop on one of my bikes :shrug:
