Enough Power...Alt or Bat....100 AH Per 1000 watts?

Right Now i have enough money to buy everything on my sig besides the extra battery. Im willing to drop 400 on a batt or alternaor. i was originally going to get a XS d3100 for the rear with my red top under the hood. do you think i should go with that or should i get a HO alt for around 400? whats your opinion?

and also is it true that you need 100 AH per 1000 watts?... In that case the d3100 wouldnt work

IIRC those Regal's have the same engine as my GP, which has an 105 amp alt. I don't know how powerful the Redtops are, but it's more of a personal choice probably. If that Redtop will do more than a typical stock battery, then go with the alt if you so desire.

Which engine does your Regal have & what H/O alt are you looking for?
