Neoncar99
Hello Everyone, I just bought over the winter a DC Audio Level 5 with upgraded spider, direct leads , SPL motor and Level 6 Dust Cap. I FREAKING LOVE THIS SUB !!!!! okay now that i got that out of the way hahahahaha So the dust cap is starting to come off and I have been told to use CA glue and which is fine to get i'm picking some up today after work. Or if there is maybe another glue that would be better for my issue let me know. But the sub is mounted already in the box and the box is sealed from the trunk of the car so I don't want to have to take this sub out of the box becasue 80lbs is not easy to move around. The issue i'm having is the dust cap is starting to come off and is making an awful sound so i need to reglue it. So suggestions on how to get glue onto the dust cap and not get any inside the sub to hurt my sub. And if i did want to remove the dust cap i don't want it to rip the sub and then i'll be with out a sub and i only had this metered once so far argh. Any suggestions would be great. Thank you, Robert Quote One Level 5 12" hooked to SoundStream XXX-6500
ChevyBoy95
Well you can get your existing dust cap off by using a razor blade carefully on the glue, then just get some ca glue and put a nice amount onthere and put it back in it's place, CA is strong so you won't need a lot but you will need to use a good amount or to your liking to keep it looking clean. ChevyBoy95
Can cut along the plane of the cone to getthe cap off so you don't puncture the cone.
