JERSEY
ok i have 2 L7 15s dual4 now the manual say that - The dual 4Ω woofer will provide a 2Ω load wired in parallel or 8Ω load wired in series. ok now on the 12 volt website it says Option 1 (parallel/parallel) = 1 ohm load Voice coils wired in parallel, speakers wired in parallel Recommended Amplifier: Stable at 1 ohm mono Option 2 (series/parallel) = 4 ohm load Voice coils wired in series, speakers wired in parallel Recommended Amplifier: Stable at 4, 2, or 1 ohm mono . So which is the right ohm
Guest
the right ohm load is dependent on the amplifier you use. an audioque 2200d wired at 1 ohm should power them perfectly.
alehound
the manual is stating that one speaker will provide 2 ohms in parallel. if you add another speaker, that load drops down to 1 ohm. Patiently waiting until 2016...the year in which I likely get to 300 posts... In which then, and only then, will I finally be able to get me some more decaf...
