JZeFF
Alright... so after tossing it around in my head for a couple months i think i have finally figured out what i want to get. My DC 175.4 will be powering 8 (2 per channel) Selenium 6W4P's http://www.parts-express.com/pe/pshowdetl.cfm?&Partnumber=264-422&scqty=8 I will purchase a Sundown 125.2 http://www.soundsolutionsaudio.com/store/products/Sundown-Audio-SAX%252d125.2.html The 125.2 will power 2 sets of these tweeters... http://www.audiosavings.com/products/Website/PAIR-NEW-CADENCE-ZXT40-SILK-DOME-1.2-NEO-CAR-TWEETERS/ZXT40.aspx I DO NEED SOME HELP THOUGH =] Can you guys maybe recommend some tweeters that are around that same price point instead of those? I have never really heard good/bad about cadence. Also, will i need a crossover capable of letting the 175.4 push the seleniums from ~80h - ~3.5khz, and the 125.2 running the tweets from ~3500khz and up? Recommend it for me, that would be great =] Edited May 24, 2011 by JZeFF Quote Pioneer x930 bt Rockford t2500 bdcp 18" nightshade v1 DC audio 175.4 RF power T162s up front, infinity 3 way 6x9's in the back (removing rear stage and re-doing doors soon) 3x XS power D2700's Knukonceptz 0awg all around
JZeFF
look good? And will i need an x-over? or will the settings on the amp suffice? Im thinking i will need some kind of tuning hardware to bandbass the mids, just dont know what. mlstrass
I would NOT run a silk dome tweet with PA mids. Get 2 Crescendo XST's assuming you have some place to mount them. Will do a MUCH better job of keeping up with the seleniums... you can use FMOD's to create your bandpass xover for the mids. PE and other sites sell them. 6w4p's need a HPF around 125Hz, so your amp should be able to do that, then an FMOD to LP them around 4Khz
JZeFF
Can someone please explain what an FMOD is for me? Thanks! 46panel
Doesnt the DC 175.4 have bandpass feature, which can allow you to set the high pass at 125hz or whatever and then the low pass where ever your tweeters are going to come in? Reilly
Can someone please explain what an FMOD is for me? Thanks! Filter Module. Basically a capacitor to take out the higher unwanted frequencies when you don't have an amp that is capable of bandpassing Quote Clovis Custom Audio 559-392-3600 96 Silverado Single Cab 2-DD9515's Cut-through 1-DDSE Amp Stock electrical and a couple small stingers, LOL

I can't find any.. you don't need one that high, cut the mids around 3500 and HP your tweets around 4000
JZeFF
Regardless of what cutoff I need, I don't know what to buy, haha. The Mids off the 175.4 need bandpassed and the tweets off the other amp just need the highpass on the amp adjusted. What product do I need to bandpassed them?
