  1. An M3, or 2 M2's strapped if your experienced with big power, keeping it clean, etc. What motor is it? G, H, I? I just did a pair of 9518i's for a customer (I'm a DD dealer) on 2-M2's. They were 1st generation i models, with one less spider than the current ones, and not as stiff as the H generation than handled M3's all day. The i's handled the strapped M2's into clipping, so a clean M3 each would still be best. With that budget, I'd get another 9518, and 2-m3's, just saying.
  2. Get the new pioneer 7400dvd 7" motorized DVD, detachable face, APP radio, dual rear USB, 3 4 volt rca's
  3. After trying the switching woofers idea posted and confirming that the problem follows the amp, I'd say your best bet is to get another of one or the other. By SPL, do you mean competing or just groundpounding? With either of those amps properly paired, you make enough to really work those woofers. Other option is sell both and by a single 2-3k watt amp. New KS2500 would do ;(
  4. Shard airspace? If so, the amps have to be gain matched. If you can with these different models, idk. Their output scaling may be too far off.
  5. Regardless of brand for the most part, any decent brand that makes rated power is going to be relatively the same SPL. Even a couple hundred watt difference isn't going to change much. Better quality amps like an AB will tend to sound louder without meterig louder. If you want more SPL, I'd double your power.
  6. 9512. Very fast woofer, louder than their other series on any power....easy. Do a big efficient box, maximize the watts you have. Done.
  7. Funny thing is, it was wrapped just for the show. The car is brand new, on loan, and they wrapped it to protect the paint at CES, then it's all coming off :0.
  8. Lol, if you find out what it is, post it. My EVO is doing the same thing. I'll do the same.
  9. Less is more... But, having a mid up high on a pillar helps soundstage get up, so 3 way can be better in that case.

    dd m2a issues

Sounds like you need to get it repaired.......
  11. Go get some card board and duct tape, make the biggest box you can fit, then you can make it from wood.
  12. No, not the 500 series. Is that box sealed?
  13. For sure sounds like a 512. 250 rms rated. Problem is, at low wattage, people clip way earlier than te think. It could be a 512a, vs 512b which seams to do a little better than the early "a" models. Also, when new, they get hot quickly, they need a small break in time still, they move easier once fully broken in, the suspension being sort of stiff when new, makes you use more power(usually clipped) to get the speaker moving, and therefore heats up the small coil in the 512 series quicker.
  14. 2-8" ported. I do DD 1508's. If you have more depth and therefore more airspace by moving the seat up a little, then a single beefy 12" ported.
