Mines wired to 12v so it should range anywhere from 12-14v depending on whether the car is on or not.

I think its 12v but I could be wrong. I have my remote goin from my battery to a switch.

to be honest shouldnt see more then 5v i wana say because all it does in turn the amp on and off. just like your ipod cables dont send out more then a 5v output because dosnt take more then 5v to charge an ipod

Im only wondering because i want to use a thicker wire for my remote, and i know that voltage can only travel so far on a thick wire.

Like 1 volt couldnt travel 20ft on a 10gauge wire. Am i wrong?

Someone on here told me I could so I did. My amp hasn't gone into protect and its a shitty amp haha
