Chamois
Does anyone know how much power the Headunit remote turn on wire puts out? And how much power range Amplifiers accept for the turn on connection? Quote 2006 Saab 9-3 2.0T

BassJunkie
Mines wired to 12v so it should range anywhere from 12-14v depending on whether the car is on or not. Chamois
to be honest shouldnt see more then 5v i wana say because all it does in turn the amp on and off. just like your ipod cables dont send out more then a 5v output because dosnt take more then 5v to charge an ipod Im only wondering because i want to use a thicker wire for my remote, and i know that voltage can only travel so far on a thick wire. Like 1 volt couldnt travel 20ft on a 10gauge wire. Am i wrong? I think its 12v but I could be wrong. I have my remote goin from my battery to a switch. Cant you fry your amp that way? or would it just go into protect? Edited May 27, 2011 by Chamois Quote 2006 Saab 9-3 2.0T
