Mikesmith0890 Posted May 29, 2011 Report Posted May 29, 2011 Well the Mustang is finally undergoing it's first true upgrade/rebuild. Here's a picture of the car for all you picture whores! List of equipment going into the build: 2 positive runs of OFC American Bass 1/0, multiple frame grounds. Optima Yellow top up front (plan on replacing with an XS D3100) XS D3400 in the rear Alpine CDA-9887 headunit Alpine Type S Components ran active Polk 6.5 coaxials for rear fill Stock Mach 460 2.5" midrange Stock 130 Amp Alt Rockford Fosgate 500x 4 channel Crunch Ground Pounder 3000D-Pro DC LVL4 XL in a 4th order bandpass. Plans are to remove the Alpine components and replace with a better set, currently looking at the American Bass line. Swap the Mach 460 midrange with a 3" Fostek. Upgrade the alt to a DC Power or Mechman, (will be first upgrade once build is finished) Possibly add one or two more XS batteries to the rear. Build just got underway tonight, still waiting on some pieces to arrive. I'm currently uploading pictures for you guys and will upgrade the thread as the build progresses. No ifs ands or buts, this build WILL be done and competing for Slamology 2011. And special shoutout to Corona_Jeff for helping me get things in order and future help with the 4th order. corona_jeff Posted June 12, 2011 Report Posted June 12, 2011 Ok, The shell is build and roughly 6 cu. In 2-3 days once the foam fully cures in will be shaved down and any small spots will be filled and glassed over. All the seams still need to be filled and glassed over and painted. I think the first step will be .88cu sealed and 1.76cu ported. The ported chamber will be made bigger as we test to find the ideal size, but moving the front wall forward.
