The M4 has the new machined basket tho right? Both mine have the old 6 spoke basket that you can buy anywhere. Would that mean that they are both M2s? yours could still be m3 motors. post picks and we can go from there. regardless you will have to upgrade to the new basket

Ok heres something to know. The M4 recone kits are the same as your M3. DC changed model names for clarical reasons for those.

The lvl 5s will work m2s need some adjusting, the m4 versions seam solid. I'm impressed with the 12s, so far. I used the m2 15s for several years without much issues. Takes testing and some know how. Not a simple ported box by no means

just something Ive noticed. The Voltmeter is off slighly when the PSC fan is running. Mine is off by .25v

Since everyone is in an uproar about DC not posting T/S for what's essentially a custom or spl/demo sub, I took the time to help Rusty out. That being said IM POSTING what I have. So don't start asking what if...... Questions. It's a Reference for some and may help others. I'm testing a d1 m3 lvl 5 15 with cf cone and cap, and a m3 lvl 5 12d1 with just a cf cap, both stock spider packs. Fell free to comment away until I post tonight. Both will have 2 hours free air breakin time at 20-30hz to loosen spiders to get a better and more accurate results

Actaully the M3 models the best out of all the other lvl 5s for a 4th. But sealed sizes will vary based on what you are trying to achieve and desired sealed resonant. However I will share what I have ran and tested. sealed per of 2.05cu will yield a seal resonant of 46hz. Which should give you a start point

if your already setup for 14v batteries id suggest keeping with that. here is why. 14v batts fully charge a 16.8v. 16v fully charge at 19.2v, however the DC5k is limited to 18v so you will never get full use out of 16v batteries. I highly doubt the extra 1.2v will justify enough power for the switch. if the 5k isn't enough on 14v step up to a 7.5k on 14v, it money better spent

no the m3 xl will not handle any more power then the m2. its the same 3" coil. If you want to throw 5k at a woofer get the lvl 6 15

no that wont work. The PCM will over ride the VCM

if you use a dual alt harness the PCM will restrict both alts

i would leave the stock alt along if its PCM controlled and just use the secondary for the system with a VCM

you need a dual alt hardness or you can use 2 units
