jroshandtap
I have a friend who did an install this past fall that included 2 mtx 12 an mtx monoblock amp. Another amp for mids and highs. When he powered these amps he ran seperate power wires from amp to the battery, both were fused 4 gauge power wires. Well hes now doing a big 3 upgrade along with battery terminals that except 1/0 gauge wire. Well his dilema is he can no longer hookup both 4. Gauge power wires because there is only 1 4 gauge output. So the idea is... get a 1/0 converter that converts 1/0 wire to a 4 gauge input... run his 18" 1/0 wire from battery to a fused distribution block then wire his 4 gauge amp power wires on the output side of The block to his amps and poof... problem solved.... or not? My question is.. will the dist. Block hold up to the power or will it just fry? Do they make dist. Blocks with 300a or higher fuses?
