dog24fret Posted June 18, 2011 Report Posted June 18, 2011 I have posted about my van before.I have a 97 ford e-150 conversion 2 seats in front,2 middle,bench in the rear.Am getting ready to put in 8 Hifi12d4 subs.Powered by 2 DD cm1 amps.The rough figure on the resonance frequency in the van seems to be 48-50.Still got to get it exact.The question I need help with is it better to tune at or above or below resonance frequency.What I hope to get out of the system is a good blend of volume and hard hitting bass.Working on the design and figures.Want to due it right the first time as far as where I need to be at for tuning the subs.As soon as my wife's car is done I will start on the van.So any help is very appreciated and needed cause I had no luck in finding the answer I needed on the forums.Thanks Cowboy Escort GrAnny ThUmper The Burp

matt402 Posted June 18, 2011 Report Posted June 18, 2011 if the system is for daily id keep the tuning <40hz. if u just wanna burp with it id tune just a few hz below ur peak.
