trjohnst
My voltage regulator went out today and have to get a new, stock, remanufactured 80 amp alt for my 91 accord. It's a long story, the alt plug used to work when I twisted on it or pushed on it but now it wont work. That plug plugs into the voltage regulator and I suppose it is the regulator that is causing it not to work because of this, some sparks I saw during the night when it was running, and my previous symptoms of dim lights that would stay constant for a while and then go back to normal, my batt light that came up on rare equations, and some other things. I have a lifetime warranty on the alt, so instead of putting a lot of money into a car that wont last much longer, im going to just get the free replacement. Im running a BC2000D and will be rewiring it with 1/0 gauge instead of 4 and be doing my big 3 that I planned on previously. If anyone has had their regulator gone out, what were your symptoms? If you have any advice, let me know. 1991 Accord Audioque HDC3 15" (Copper)<--Sub Audioque HDC3 15" (Copper)<--Backup Sub Crescendo BC2000D<--Amp Big 3 1/0 Knu<--Wiring Eonon 3.5" DVD<--Headunit Infinity Kappa Perfect<--Mids & Highs 2nd Stock 80Amp alt. 1991 Mustang 5.0 Too many mods (Sold) 1991 240sx SR20 Red Top Too many mods (Sold) 2004 GTO Just starting mods
trjohnst
Took the alt. to AutoZone today and when they tested it, it passed. Needless to say I was pissed and flipped a shit. The main shaft in my alt reads around -.45 volts. The inside is nasty, but I can't find any broken parts. Has anyone had problems with their Honda's alt connector or connector cord? 1991 Accord Audioque HDC3 15" (Copper)<--Sub Audioque HDC3 15" (Copper)<--Backup Sub Crescendo BC2000D<--Amp Big 3 1/0 Knu<--Wiring Eonon 3.5" DVD<--Headunit Infinity Kappa Perfect<--Mids & Highs 2nd Stock 80Amp alt. 1991 Mustang 5.0 Too many mods (Sold) 1991 240sx SR20 Red Top Too many mods (Sold) 2004 GTO Just starting mods
