You say you don't want the distortion to go to the sub, but your doing way worse right now. Until you can set it rift with an oscope or atleast a dmm, you need to turn that wayyy down. Quote N8. Yeah I do too also I just bought a 275 amp alt from Ohio generator and I payed 626 including shipping haven't put it in yet but I think it will work out great for the power I'm using.
