bumonskateboard6
Got some recones in today for my LVL4 12s, got the LVL5 soft parts and coils, I'm just double checking that the CA glue is for the spider and the rubber glue is for the surround and dustcap, correct? dwright27
I believe you have to do the level 5 recones slightly different then normal recones as well. Could be wrong though. Thor? Thor? There are 2 circles that came with my recone that I figured I'd find out where they went when I took apart my old ones, maybe that's what's different? here's a picture of them: you got it. ca(normaly red tape bottle) for spider, rubber (normaly yellow) for the surround and cap. ive done a lvl 2, several lvl 3s, a 4xl, and a lvl 5. all same procedure. unless im doing something wrong. its nothing to do different though. dwright27
I think I remember rusty saying you have to do something differently with the suspension because of the level 5 coil being a little different. Maybe he will jump in here and say ya or na Edit: Just got off phone with Rob. Said the coil on the 5 is taller, so I was partially right. But you can just re cone it normally. Cool I'll be doing that tomorrow or thursday, the rings don't really fit over the coil at all so I'm thinking they might go between the dustcap and the coil former just cause they fit there? No idea, maybe someone can chime in that knows what they are for.
