adam6604 Posted July 2, 2011 Report Posted July 2, 2011 hey guys im running a hifonics BRZ2400.1d at 2 ohms for 1700 rms to my 15" RE sx's, right now. im looking at purchasing a new battery, a XS power 3100 or something in that range, and was wondering if my stock alternator will handle that for daily use? ALSO, im looking at selling my hifonics within the month, and buying something that is .5 ohm stable ( my re's are both dual 2 ohm ) that puts out 2k+ rms, i wanna really push my re's. so basically im asking, what would be the ideal electrical for 2k rms? i dont want to be spending crazy money, im 18 and im not rich but somewhat give me an idea to help me out, im looking to make my dodge a ground pounder Driving my 2008 Dodge Ram 2500 MEGA cab with the 5.7 hemi. Audio: Two 10" Alpine Type R's ( 1000rms models ) Hifonics BRZ 2400.1D @ .5 ohm Two Kinetic 1400 batteries ( soon to have XS power under hood ) Tsunami 1/0 Awg wire throughout truck. Stock Infinity 7 speaker system ( Junk ) soon to be replaced, probably all Alpine. RickyFriery97 Posted July 2, 2011 Report Posted July 2, 2011 get the biggest XS power batt you can fit under your hood and do the big three in all 1/0 that should do alright, just keep a eye on your voltage im running a AQ2200D @ 1 ohm with my stock 160 amp alt, on D3400 and my stock batt in my tahoe and it holds up alright 2014 Chevy Silverado Crewcab 1994 Chevy Full Size blazer
